Associated Colleges Teaching Effectiveness Conference 2025

We invite you to join us for the Associated Colleges of St. Lawrence Valley’s Annual Teaching Effectiveness Conference.
 
Theme:Navigating a Shifting Landscape: Supporting Students and Faculty”
Date: Saturday, November 15, 2025.
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  (Registration and check-in at 8:15 a.m.)
Location: SUNY Potsdam, Barrington Student Union, Multi-Purpose Room 

This year’s theme, “Navigating a Shifting Landscape: Supporting Students and Faculty“, reflects the evolving realities of higher education and the shared responsibility of supporting both students and faculty. The day features: 

  • Keynote Address from Alissa Karl, UUP Vice President for Academics, on navigating change in academic life. 
  • Interactive Workshops exploring accommodative services, international student engagement, and integrating mental health into pedagogy.
  • Student Panel offering direct perspectives on enhancing the academic experience.
  • Community & Inclusion Conversations that unpack shared needs across our campuses.
  • Roundtable Dialogue taking the pulse of faculty experiences today.

Launch Day

Launch Day
brings together students from seven North Country colleges for a one-day innovation challenge on Friday, November 7, 2025. Event coordinators are seeking support from Associated Colleges faculty to encourage students to take advantage of this exciting opportunity.

Students gain hands-on experience in teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, AI, innovation, and pitching in a cost-free, all-inclusive event with transportation, meals, certificates, and prizes. Launch Day also strengthens cross-college collaboration, supports local economic development, and showcases our commitment to innovation and sustainability. The event is led by Clarkson University and SUNY Canton.
