Inside the NFL: A Zoom Conversation with Ken Belson

On Sunday, September 28, at 7:00 p.m. join Ken Belson, New York Times reporter covering the NFL’s business for over 12 years, in conversation with Professor Stephen Casper, Clarkson University. Hear how the NFL became more than a game—its impact on players, culture, and society. Belson’s book, Every Day Is Sunday, publishes October 14, 2025. For more details, see the press release.

Associated Colleges Teaching Effectiveness Conference 2025

Theme: “Navigating a Shifting Landscape: Supporting Students and Faculty”
When: Saturday, November 15, 2025, 9:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M.
Location: SUNY Potsdam, Barrington Student Union

Save the date for this year’s Teaching Effectiveness Conference! Join fellow faculty from across the Associated Colleges for a day of knowledge exchange and collaboration. The day will feature a keynote speaker, panels, workshops, and roundtable discussions, all focused on exploring shared needs and strategies to enhance students’ academic experiences.

Launch Day

Launch Day brings together students from seven North Country colleges for a one-day innovation challenge on Friday, November 7, 2025. Event coordinators are seeking support from Associated Colleges faculty to encourage students to take advantage of this exciting opportunity.

Students gain hands-on experience in teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, AI, innovation, and pitching in a cost-free, all-inclusive event with transportation, meals, certificates, and prizes. Launch Day also strengthens cross-college collaboration, supports local economic development, and showcases our commitment to innovation and sustainability. The event is led by Clarkson University and SUNY Canton.
