The cross-registration program at Associated Colleges allows a full-time student registered at SUNY Potsdam, SUNY Canton, Clarkson University or St. Lawrence University to take classes on the other three ACSLV campuses at no extra cost and without going through separate admissions procedures. Full-time students may register for a maximum of two courses per academic year. Tuition is paid only to the home institution. The student must achieve full-time status to be eligible for cross-registration but cross-registered courses may be counted toward the requirements of full-time status. Full-time employees of the four universities are also able to cross-register for courses as part of their employment benefits.
*Update 7/24/2020 and 8/24/2020: Associated Colleges students/employees who are cross-registering to Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University and SUNY Canton will only be allowed to take online-only courses. (Students/employees from the Associated Colleges will NOT be allowed to come onto the Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University and SUNY Canton campuses for in-person class attendance.) Likewise, Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University and SUNY Canton students/employees will only be allowed to cross-register to other Associated Colleges campuses for online-only courses.
*Update 7/13/2020: Students/employees cross-registered for in-person courses will be required to be tested for COVID before visiting the host institution’s campus. Periodic testing may also be required
*Update 7/10/2020: During the 2020-2021 semester any cross-registering student/employee should reach out to the campus to which they are cross-registering to know if the course has space and whether it will be online or in-person.
